Hunks vs. Chunks

While perusing Yahoo! headlines today, I encountered a very disturbing picture of Kevin Federline after some recent (and quite excessive) weight gain. After a few laughs, I clicked on the “US Magazine” link on the right that read, “See other stars who’ve gone from hunk to chunk.”

I was perplexed and a little angered by some of the celebs chosen for the list. Admittedly, some like Russell Crowe, Val Kilmer and (even though I love him) Alec Baldwin were seriously chunky. But I felt like whoever did this assignment got a little criticism happy and listed more than a few hunks who weren’t chunks at all!

People like Jamie Foxx, Ryan Gosling and Adrian Grenier (from “Entourage”) were scolded for having a few too many cheeseburgers. Are you kidding me? I’m pretty sure any one of those men could turn heads in a crowd because they’re gorgeous! And some of them, like Matt Damon, had to gain weight for movie roles.

The so-called “hunk to chunk” that made me the most angry was—you’re not going to believe this—Channing Tatum! That man is as far from chunky as it gets. He’s the star of summer blockbuster “G.I. Joe” and an all-around dreamy hunk of man meat. Chunky? I think not.

If these “hunks” are considered chunky, what does that say about regular guys? Tell us what YOU think!
