Getting Ready for College

how to bookWhat to Do

Going away to college and living on your own is a big deal. You should bring as much stuff as you can because living in a dorm is like living in a shack!

I brought everything I had, like:
Clothes (including some business attire for job interviews)
Comfortable shoes
Sheets
Toiletries
School supplies
Books
A laptop
A telephone
An alarm clock
Lamps
Curtains
Rugs
Snacks

I even brought comfort things like my favorite blanket, my teddy bear, and a million pictures of family and friends back home. I arrived prepared, so I wouldn’t have to buy anything extra, besides snacks — lots and lots of ramen noodles.

But living on your own is not what you have, it’s about working with what you have. You have to learn to how balance your studies with your freedom and fun time. Here’s a lesson from my college experience.

What to Expect

The first day of college is usually the hardest — you don’t know what to expect, you feel all alone in a hall where no one seems to know anyone else, and on top of that you have to start lessons in a few days. You’ll probably go to sleep crying and friendless, curled into a ball in a corner in your dark room on your bed with no one in your corner to boot. Boohoo.

But then the Calvary comes. A brand new day! You never feel alone again and as time goes by, you’ll forget that you even experienced that. You’ll meet new people and try new things and nothing else matters, save the new classes that you’ll kind of have to study for.

All that to say: Calm down. Everything works itself out if you are just yourself. Go to whatever school functions your school offers on the first day and realize that everybody is just as nervous as you are.

I’ve been to college for a full year now, and I have to say that I met most of the people I know during the first month of school. Just be open to everybody you meet and take the initiative to talk to others.

I found this website that helped me know what to pack and a bunch of other steps I needed to take to get ready for college without all the distracting ads and scams. It is http://www.collegeprocessmadeeasy.com and it has cool games and laughs under stress break for sustaining you during their long hours working on forms and essays and stuff!

  4. Sorry for my bad english. Intresting title. It attracted me to read the complete post. Thanks

  5. Great headline. If your cookie has a bite-sized action and your reader completes the action, I think two things happen. Their self-confidence goes up (which feels good) and their trust in you increases.

  6. Hey I love this blog because it’s really informative and It makes me alittle relaxed about what to expect when going to Oglethorpe University in the spring of 2009 as a Freshman.

  7. Hey,

I am compelled at this blog and I’m sure that it will come out to be very helpful in the future. Plus, I hear college is all about networking. I can’t wait until the fall of 2010 and hopefully I will be at Howard University….Wooohooo!!!! lol

  8. Grateful, he wrapped his arms around his friend and buried his face in his neck. Ill assume by your current state that the compulsion to rut overtook you as well? If were something new and unexpected, then how do you know were not in love? She slumped down on the pillow beside Irin, gazing morosely at the gathering below. He surrounded her but didnt help her. Dont worry about it now. She and Radin dined with Hyle and Gala in their rooms. Just remember what She told you. First Gala, then Radin crowded close, surrounding her with warmth. This hadnt been part of her agreement with Radin. I love all three of you and probably always have. She couldnt help that her laugh was a tad nervous. Her lips parted under the soft caress of his breath, but he didnt kiss her. Three sets of eyes focused on her as Tykirs cock hovered at her pussy. Her pussy wept, neglected, but she wouldnt have stopped him for anything. A palm smoothed over her ass. She could have enslaved the raedjour. It doesnt exist, just as a truematch shouldnt exist —a little bitterness there— for elvenborn women. She knew if she did, that would be it. Its so much more convenient.
