Did Beyonce really have one of the best videos of all time? That question may never be answered, but she’s up against Taylor Swift again.
Beyonce led the pack with a whopping 10 Grammy nominations. Taylor Swift was not far behind with 8 nominations. The 19 year old crossover country star made Grammy history when she became the youngest person to ever receive a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year. The two divas will compete head-to-head in the categories of Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year.
Newcomer Lady Gaga received five nominations including Best Dance Recording, Song of The Year and Album of the Year — but not Best New Artist. Also nominated were Atlanta’s own Keri Hilson, Colbie Caillat, Kings of Leon, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna and Keith Urban. The Black Eyed Peas and R& B crooner Maxwell each garnered six nominations. Despite stealing Taylor Swift’s thunder at this year’s Video Music Awards, rapper Kanye West also managed to land six nominations, including three songs for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration: “Ego,” “Knock You Down,” and “Run This Town”
The winners will be announced when the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards air Jan. 31 on CBS.

Huh; I’m very surprised that Lady Gaga wasn’t nominated for Best New Artist. o.O
@Missa: Gaga wasn’t nominated because she was alreadt nominated for a Grammy in 2008. “Just Dance” was nominated for Best Dance Recording, so it took her out of the race for Best New Artist this year. It’s ashame, actually. 2009 was easily Gaga’s year, at least as far as new artists go…. :)
Either Taylor or Beyonce will win in all the categories thier nominated (to my annyance and dismay) for I’m sure. Hopefull Gaga will pick up something January 31st. I’ll be watching and rooting for her! :D
Taylor Swift is the best country-pop singer today. I love all her songs and i love the she dress. She is pretty too. :
