Mother Nature Strikes Again

Almost two months after a 7.0-magnitude earthquake devastated Haiti, leaving hundreds of thousands dead, and millions injured and homeless, Mother Nature released her fury again. This time, with an 8.8-magnitude earthquake striking Chile.
CNN quoted NASA scientists, saying that the earthquake, the seventh strongest earthquake in recorded history, which hit Chile on Feb. 27, may have shifted the Earth’s axis and “shortened the length of each Earth day.”
New America Media reports that the death toll in Chile is more than 700 and rising. Many Chileans are still missing, and an estimated 2 million Chileans are homeless.

I think this is a of for geologist to study and find out the cause f all this recent activity.Maybe the world was over due for two earthquakes in the same hemisphere or maybe we have been having earthquake like this but the media have not been paying attention to it therefore, people weren’t ever the wiser.
