Wikidot.com
If you’ve ever wanted to build an information database for yourself on, say, your science class, for future references, Wikidot is a great way to do it. On the site, you can easily create a Wiki, a collaborative document of information in the form of a Web site, which stores all the notes from your classes. Classmates can even add notes to your Wiki if you allow them administrative access. You can use a Wiki for other things too, like keeping a list of your favorite animes or making a journal.

Howcast.com
Watch different how-to videos to learn a range of things, like learning how to belly dance, how to use your cell phone as a wingman and how to breakdance.

Jinni.com
Are you in the mood to watch a movie but not sure which title to get?  Take a look at Jinni, a new site in private beta (you have to sign up and be invited before you can use the service) that finds programs based on your mood. You can choose from movies, TV shows, short films, and online videos to find something that fits your mood and taste.

Ptable.com
If you are trying to make it out of your Chemistry class alive, chances are you’ll need the Periodic Table of Elements. Ptable is a cool periodic table with a detailed graphical representation for each element. It can help end your semester of Chemistry with a bang.

Academicearth.org
Get a head start on college-level courses with Academic Earth, a video directory of lectures from scholars both in the Unites States and abroad. You can learn about almost anything for free, including physics, robotics, entrepreneurship, computer science and ancient Greek history.

Mylivegallery.com
This is an online image gallery creator that allows you to quickly create nice-looking image galleries, photo albums and slideshows for all of your friends and families to see. After your gallery is done, the site automatically generates a link to send out.

Zinch.com
Zinch helps you create your own profile to showcase to colleges around the nation and abroad. Then those colleges will send you information about themselves so you won’t have to go searching. Zinch also provides scholarships for students and has an entire social network that encompasses the site.

Where do you spend YOUR time online? Share your favorite Web sites with vox@VoxRox.org, and they may be published in a future installment of Web Time Wasters.
