The following is a quick look at some major happenings around Atlanta during the months of November and December:
 
NOV. 2 to Dec. 22
Youth Arts and Crafts Market: Get started on your holiday shopping and support Youth Art Connection, a program of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, by visiting the Youth Arts and Crafts Market at 63 Auburn Ave. in downtown Atlanta. Artwork will be exhibited and sold from noonto 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. For more information, call 404-614-6233.
 
NOV. 10-16
The 19th Annual “Out On Film” Atlanta’s GLBT Film Festival: Take in seven days of films from all over the world during Atlanta’s second largest Gay and Lesbian film festival. The festival takes place at the Plaza Theatre, 1049 Ponce de Leon Ave. in Atlanta. Featured films include “Puccini for Beginners” and “20 Centimeters.” Ticket prices are $20 with student IDs for a day’s worth of films; passes for the entire festival are $70. NOV. 12
BET Hip-Hop Awards: This year’s gala will be held at the Fox Theatre, 660 Peachtree St. NE. Hosted by Katt Williams, the event will honor the hip-hop industry’s brightest stars. Tickets are NOT available. However, you can watch your favorite rappers and musicians arrive on the red carpet, starting as early as 5 p.m. If you can’t make it, the show will be aired Nov. 15 on BET. NOV. 18, Dec. 2, & Dec. 16
Carols in the Park/ The Lighting of Atlantic Station: Come out to Atlantic Station, 171 17th St. in Atlanta, and enjoy a free holiday concert each of these dates while you shop. For more information, visit www.atlanticstation.com.

Greece: Secrets of the Past: Playing at the Fernbank Museum’s IMAX Theatre, “Greece” showcases the past and present of this country steeped in culture and mythology. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $8 for children under 12. The IMAX Theatre is located on 767 Clifton Road NE.
