VOX's Raise Your Voice Summer Program is a four week, intensive journalism and community leadership program. The program runs for four weeks in July and is free for selected students.
Fourteen rising sophomores, juniors and seniors have the opportunity to put together the September issue of VOX. Participants are also paired with mentors from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) and have the chance to pitch and sell their stories for publication there.
We also take several exciting field trips to local media, such as the AJC, Cartoon Network and CNN. A weekly stipend is included as a bonus.
The Raise Your Voice Summer Program is a great opportunity for teens who are seriously interested in writing, meeting new people and having fun! Applications are available in the winter and due in the Spring.
