Alexander Mead lucked in by being a home-schooled freshman, free from the tortures of upperclassmen. As a homeschool student, he likes the fact that he doesn’t have huge classes and can learn at his own pace. “The best thing about being a freshman,” says Alexander, “is the idea that I only have three more years until I’m off to college.” For college, he wants to stay in state and attend either Emory or Oglethorpe. He says that if he could travel anywhere for vacation, he would like to go to California. Alexander has an overwhelming passion for Irish folk music. In fifteen years, he’d like to be travel to Italy and Ireland.
