Isha Mitra
You’ll see her breezing down the halls of Westminster, one of Atlanta’s premier private Christian schools, or out and about at a local mall, her atmosphere brightening smile flashing. Who exactly is this 16 year-old?
Isha Mitra came to VOX’s Raise Your Voice Summer Internship looking for new activities to participate in. Just returned from a trip to India, she aspires to get her writing published in the Atlanta Journal Constitution this summer and thrive in her academics. In the coming years, she hopes to go to college (preferably in New York), and become a journalist or a doctor.
Isha’s parents came to the United States from India in 1987 with her born just four years later. Her father is currently a professor at Georgia Tech and her mother is into finances.
Isha’s hobbies include: Indian movies, romance flicks, extreme sports (and sports in general), writing and reading, and someday skydiving. Isha is a sucker for Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice and Arundhati Roy’s The God of Small Things. She has traveled to India, London, France, Slovakia, Austria, Germany, Thailand, and Singapore, but this Capricorn currently resides with her parents in Atlanta, GA. |
