Cassie Xie

From a wordless birth to the vibrating suburbs, Cassie (sometimes Cassi) chooses not be anonymous. For her, life is lived with disease in the blood and strength in the heart. Saturday mornings find her aboard public transport, dreaming of trembling rails and skyscraper megaliths in an Orwellian city.

She views life with the mindset of a gritty cult film killer, keeping her eyes narrow and her views wide. Her sentences are grammatical fumbles and she prefers the visual to the literal.

She charts her fast-forward beats and latent moves through faded photos and half-completed projects. She chases time and finds peace in simple things such as burning textbooks and drinking down listerine. Her favorite tastes include lotus seeds and bitter avocado peels (poison) on the roof of her mouth. She finds solace in violinist girls and english-junkie boys of thin, the taste of mint gum and energy drinks in kisses, the hanged man in every tarot pull, and the hushed whisper 'daisuki da yo'.

She believes she has potential except for when she doesn't, and when that happens, which is more often than not, she goes to VOX.

Cassi(e) lives in Alpharetta with her family and her aquarium of fishes-turned-confidantes.
