Catherine Cai

Catherine Cai, born in Ithaca, New York, while not knowing the difference between a valley and a gorge, seems to be quite adept at distinguishing between many different species of small, furry rodents. Her pet mouse seems to be one of her only interests, going on and on about her little black “gangsta” friend, Wesley.. She loves him dearly. Sadly for Catherine, though, her fantasies on human love shall never be fulfilled. With a soft spot for cheesy 80’s movies, Catherine idealizes the “perfect guy”, but somehow or another winds up with total losers. Despite the fact all her past love interests are “[expletive deleted]”, she remains loyal to her life mantra, “keep on ‘truckin’.” Whatever that means.
            
With all these emotions bubbling inside her, it’s not a surprise that Catherine likes to write angsty poetry. In the blackness of her candle-lit room, she furiously scribbles out verse as her semi-crazed cat Bammy hisses in disgust at her owner from a hidden corner. Despite the fact Bammy hates Catherine, the cat always seems to be in her room; waiting perhaps, for the right moment to pounce upon an unsuspecting mouse.
