VOX: The Voice of Our Generation

Modupe Alabi is an aspiring journalist for VOX. She decided to commit to the VOX summer program because she wants to learn more writing skills and how to be a good journalist. She also wanted the experience.
Mo, as her friends affectionately call her, is a girl with many dreams and aspirations. Some of them are traveling the world. She wants to visit Tokyo, London, Paris, Italy, and Greece.
The 15 year old loves fashion, reading, and writing, and she wants to someday design clothes of her own. “I’m a fashion fanatic!” she said. She wants to be a CEO of a corporation and own her own fashion label one day and is interested in the advertising industry. She loves shopping and all art, and she wants to further her sewing talents.
Tennis is Modupe’s naturally given gift, and she loves playing it. Some of her favorite T.V. shows are “Project Runway” ON Bravo "Gossip Girl" on CW, “Entertainment Tonight” on E!, “Color Splash” on HDTV, and last but not least Samantha Brown shows on the travel Channel. In her spare time Modupe likes to sing even though she claims it isn’t that good.
Mo also enjoys spending time with her friends, who are all from different backgrounds. She likes watching movies and TV and talking about fashion.
Mo attends Stephenson High and will be attending the 10th grade in August. This year she will be studying French. Some of her other favorite classes are English and Science.
