Mooni Abdus-Salam

“Mean” Mooni, a 17-year-old senior at Tech High School, is one of the nicest people you might ever have the privilege of meeting. She may not be as talkative as others, but when she does speak, she always has something good to say.

Mooni loves reading, writing, and learning new things, and when she hangs out with friends, “It doesn’t matter where, just as long as they’re fun people.”

She is hoping to get into Emory University to study creative writing. Mooni also wants to travel the world, especially to Europe and Asia. She plays the violin, and would like to learn “at least five more” instruments.

She is the middle child, living with her mom and three of her six siblings. She is a movie junkie, TV junkie, a Muslim… a daughter, a sister, a friend…

She is Mooni Abdus-Salam.
