Raven Hathcock
Responsible, respectful, gregarious and benevolent –these are just a few words that describe Raven Hathcock. Growing up on a farm in Iuka, Mississippi, Raven was your typical country girl. At the age of nine, she moved to Jonesboro, Georgia.
At the age of two, Raven fell on a heater and burned herself, leaving a mark on her stomach. According to her, the mark “looks like a kangaroo or a bird.”
When she entered high school she joined VOX to complete her community service hours. As time progressed, she decided to stay because of her love for writing and photography. She also believes that her first article published (which was about the band Cobra Starship) also made her stay. She was very joyful and impressed with her work.
Raven also has great beliefs. She believes “that everyone deserves a second chance. If you try to work on yourself you will change because time can change you.” She is actually atheist and believes that religion gives you a predetermined stereotype about other people.
Raven is sixteen and a junior at Riverdale High School. She is an officer for her school’s Technology Student Association, Class Council and International Student Cultural Association. She is also the captain of her soccer team. She is really passionate about history and graphic art. She also changes her hair color…like every week.
